The Okanagan real estate market as you may know has been on a wild ride for the last couple years, the good news is that we are now at a balanced or buyers market. Prices have softened but unfortunately interest rates have taken a sharp increase erasing any gain in price reduction.

The Market Ahead

2022 proved to be a challenge after the highs of 2021. 2023 however will be the year of change, higher interest rates will pave the path to opportunity as sellers will have to exit the market, sometimes in a hurry. This is where opportunity comes into play, be ready, be financed and be educated on what the market is doing and mark a point at which you can jump on the opportunities that will be coming. Home ownership is possible in any market, prices are not going to fall 25% as land, labour and building materials costs will remain high moving forward. Building equity is the road to wealth and a secure financial future. This is your year to start!
